Vegan donuts

Spanish below

Yesterday I made these fried vegan donuts and they were delicious, soft and light. I dip them with sugar glaze and melted chocolate.

Ingredients

  • 200 g flour
  • 140 ml warm water
  • 3,5 g yeast
  • 30 g sugar
  • 30 ml oil
  • 2 tbsp water

For the glaze

  • 80 g icing sugar
  • 30 ml water

Mix yeast with warm water in a glass and wait a few minutes until both are mixed well and yeast has been activated.

Combine sugar, oil and water in a large bowl. Add the flour and stir until the dough is soft and smooth (slightly sticky).

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let rise until double (for 1 hour).

After 1 hour put dough onto floured surface. Roll it out and cut with a donut cutter or a simple glass (that’s what I did).  Cover and let rise for another hour.

Meanwhile mix icing sugar with water and stir.

Finally, heat sacucepan with oil and cook the donuts for about 30 seconds in both sides.

Dip donuts into the glaze or melted chocolate while still hot, and set onto wire racks to drain off excess.

Ingredientes

  • 200 g harina
  • 140 ml agua caliente
  • 3,5 g levadura de panadería
  • 30 g azúcar
  • 30 ml aceite
  • 2 tbsp agua
  • 80 g azúcar glass
  • 30 ml agua
